Going more than a week without meeting death does have positive consequence, ( Jace says with ease, as if the statement is not an absurdity and instead a pleasantry shared to amuse. he would rather this than to let his thoughts focus on Baela's death, his mother's, Daemons or his own. they all breathe again, those thoughts lead him back on paths toward those that don't.

I do not believe I've ever seen him tired by sparring alone. ( but Aemond is a more accomplished swordsman than Jace is, he knows that. his own interest in swordsmanship holds true, but his duties pulled him away more often than not to learn other skills that would be of great use when it came time to call banners for their cause. ) I'm afraid, if you want a similar challenge, I'm the wrong man. You're a better swordsman than I.
